Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
  • Grow the tech team and manage future junior team members.
  • Share knowledge with future junior developers and propose best practices to the team.
  • Implement software development best practices and animate the agile process.
  • Interact with various team members, including cofounders, product managers, business teams, and others, to discuss and align on key technical decisions.

  • 1 medium fullstack developer (python react)

You will help grow the team!

Missions

  • Lead the design, building, testing, deployment, and maintenance of efficient, reusable, and reliable code for the platform.
  • Oversee and manage the infrastructure and development operations, ensuring a seamless deployment process, scalability, and system reliability.
  • Grow, nurture, and manage the tech team. This involves onboarding, training, mentoring, and ensuring that the team collaborates effectively and innovatively.
  • Share knowledge, instill best practices, and foster a collaborative environment within the tech team.
  • Direct Impact on Patient Lives: Use technology to directly improve the lives of those living with diabetes, aiming for better patient outcomes and enhanced quality of life.
  • Collaboration and Alignment: Work closely with the cofounder and other stakeholders to align technological solutions with the company's vision and goals, as well as the needs of patients and healthcare professionals.

CANDIDATE

Required skills & experience

  • Educational Background: A degree from a engineering school or software development school
  • Industry Experience: 4-6 years of work experience in a big startup, preferably with at least 30 people. Ideally, experience in next40 or frenchtech 120 companies.
  • Technical Proficiency in Python: A minimum of 4 years of experience with Python.
  • Technical Proficiency in React: A minimum of 2 years of experience with React.
  • Leadership Experience: If the candidate lacks either the specified school or company criteria, they should have 6 years of experience or at least 1 year of experience in a lead role.
  • Back-end Expertise: Strong skills in back-end development, with a comprehensive understanding of both infrastructure/devops and front-end challenges.
  • Rigour and Quality Focus: A strong commitment to producing high-quality code and following software development best practices, especially given the medical nature of the application where approximation is not acceptable.
  • Technical Leadership: Ability to provide guidance and direction to the tech team, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to discuss key technical decisions with founders and other stakeholders, and mentor junior developers.
  • Fluency in English: The candidate should be able to communicate effectively in spoken English.
  • Interest in Health Industry: A genuine interest in working in the health industry and developing products that assist patients living with chronic health conditions.

Bonus skills & experience

  • An interest in security, IoT, or mobile development would be considered a plus.
